I love museums. Of course, I am an artist. But as an artist I love looking at the patrons looking, enjoying the art. This 49 inches wide and 57 inches high oil painting is a result of loving the lookers. And the stately columns upon which the photos ae hung were irresistible
We were sitting in the cafeteria finishing lunch when I noticed all the people in the atrium. I loved that they were all busy doing something. And I loved the two levels and the sky light. Had to try to paint it. Such a challenge but I love it.
Real enjoyment is when you can pick it apart and learn. I think they are loving this picture.
Again, watching how people view the exhibits. A mother explaining to her child, a couple enjoying the sphinx and of course the room is overpowering. The picture is 22 inches wide and 28 inches hight. It is oil on canvas.
Can you imagine the thought going through this childs mind. Is it the bow and arrow ( probably since he is a boy), the naked women, the gold or is he just overwehelmed by the whole museum thing and waiting for a dessert in the cafeteria? This oil on canvas is 11” by 14”.
